I really like your pen and ink drawing with a bold line. My favorites are “Dog and Cat”, “Will draw for $”, “Girl painting”. They’re clear, whimsical and appealing. I like it more than your colored work. Kudo for selling your book without marketing, that’s impressive!
I’m exploring different styles and subjects lately. In general, I am partial to really thick black lines, in both colored and uncolored work. I like working with a brush pen for that. I’ve recently acquired a tablet, so I’ve been playing with that a lot. I can do a lot of interesting things with that tool and it’s much easier to fix a mistake.
I think the book would have done better with a publisher, but I got impatient. I’m looking into trying again. It really needs to be made into a board book and possibly a paperback for something under $5 (Neither of which I can do with self-publishing).
