Don’t Make the Grizzly Angry

Cartoon-Girl-Animals-500

This was an experimental piece.  I was practicing several things.

– Cartoon females in this sort of bit-headed cute style.
– Expressive poses (body and face)
– Full background

I’m not really sure what’s going on in this scene except that it’s probably not a good idea for a cat to tick off a grizzly.

Since this was an experiment, I welcome critique and feedback on this piece.

Looks like you definitely accomplished what you were aiming for. My only question is about size. I wasn’t afraid of the grizzly till you said something, because he was the same size as the cat. Is that a thing?

That is a point and I did think about that. But in this anthropomorphic style, the characters are generally drawn with a similar height, regardless of species. If there is a height difference it will be more like the difference between a tall human and a short human. Not like the difference between a real grizzly and a real domesticated cat.

But I probably could have made the grizzly a little taller than I did.
