This style of prosthetic leg and foot always seemed really interesting to me. I’m glad I got to draw one.

An older woman of Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander heritage is working as a referee. She is blowing on a whistle while pointing to the side. She is wearing a referee's uniform and has an athletic-style prosthetic leg below the knee.

A blind boy in raingear walking with the aid of a white cane.

This image had originally called for the boy to have a guide dog, because a kid and a dog are inherently cute together. But when looking for reference images of kids with guide dogs, I learned that blind kids don’t actually get guide dogs. You generally have to be 18 for a guide animal. I relayed this to the client and they changed the specs. So, I guess I sort of took away this boy’s dog and gave him a cane instead. If it helps, later in this batch there will be a man with a guide dog instead. Not as cute, but more accurate.

Here’s a girl at a birthday party who uses a wheelchair. I broke out my perspective ruler tools for this one.

A cartoon illustration of a Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander girl age 7-9. She is a wheelchair user sitting with a wrapped present in her lap. She's in a blue, manual wheelchair. She's wearing grey leggings, pink slip-on shoes, pink t-shirt, and a pink striped cardigan. Her long black hair is wavy and pulled back on the top, loose on the bottom. She is smiling.

Last one for this batch. I think he’s heading out to the golf course.

An old man stands with one hand on his hip, smiling. He's Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander. He is dressed as if to play golf. He has a green polo shirt, green and black plaid golf shorts, and white sneakers with green trim. His hair is light grey, nearly white.

Here’s our second muumuu of the batch. Also with a floral pattern, but a bit of a different style this time. I had-drew these blossoms instead of making a stamp. I did copy-and-paste some of them, though. I also painted her toenails.

An old lady wearing a long, red, floral print muumuu dress. She's standing with one hand raised as if waving. She is Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander. She has her grey hair pulled back into a loose bun at her neck. She is wearing flip-flop sandals and has her toenails painted red.

The pattern on this shirt was based on a vintage Duke Kahanamoku design provided by the client.

A Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander man walks towards the viewer. He is smiling and gesturing as if speaking. He has shoulder-length black hair. He is wearing a Hawaiian shirt with a geometric design open over a salmon-colored t-shirt. He's also wearing black jeans and multi-colored sandals.

Moving on to the adults for this batch. She has a nice outfit, doesn’t she?

A woman stands with one hand on her hip. She is Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander. She has a larger body type. She's wearing a white t-shirt, short jean jacket, leggings, and pink sneakers. Her straight, black hair falls just past her shoulders.

Cool purple hair on this one. I started this one with ALOHA in a varsity font on the hoodie, but the client wanted the sea turtle design instead. I think the heathered texture makes it look soft and comfy.

A child, aged 10-12, stands with one hand up in a wave. They have the ends of their chin-length, straight black hair dyed purple. They are either Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander. They're wearing glasses. They have on a grey heathered hoodie with a white sea turtle printed on the front. They also have on jeans and slide-on sneakers with a checkered print.

Glasses and a checker-printed shirt. I think I tried to give him a Hawaiian shirt, but the client didn’t want to overdo those in this batch.

A boy, aged 10-12, stands with one hand up as if gesturing as he speaks. He has a larger body type. He's Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander. He's wearing a white t-shirt, blue checkered short-sleeved overshirt, loose jean shorts, and slide on sneakers. He's also wearing glasses.

Moving on to ages 10-12. This one was fun. Her shirt pattern was a scatter brush of simple flower stamps. I squished the ones on the elastic portion sideways to make them look like smocking. The original version showed her belly a little, but the client wanted that covered to make it a little more conservative. I think she’s our first one with braces, also.

A girl, aged 10-12 stands with one hand on her hip and the other raised as if gesturing. She is smiling with braces. She has flower earrings. Her hair is black, long, and wavy. She is wearing light purple capri jeans and slip-on sneakers. Her shirt has a small floral pattern with short, puffed sleeves, a wide elastic neck, and an elastic smocked section around the belly. She is Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander.
