Someone summoned a fallen cherub.
(Probably a bit too on the nose, really. Perhaps I’ll do better tomorrow.)

This was a request from ladyspock7 who frequently reblogs my stuff on tumblr. She wanted an owl. She did not specify in what state. I hope this works. 😉
I put up a new coloring page in my Freebies section. I pulled all the colors and shading out of that monkey I made for Katie earlier this year and put that up as a coloring sheet. I think it turned out pretty good. Click to open the full-sized PDF.

So, I received my copy of the SCBWI Bulletin in the mail yesterday and I found out which of my images they picked to publish. Turns out it’s Boy Reading, an image I sent them in May of 2012. Yay! So, when they say they hang onto artwork to use later, they really aren’t kidding!

Here’s a work in progress for a personal project I’m working on. My daughter wanted a poster of a monkey swinging by its tail from a tree with a banana. I’ve just about got the monkey done, next to tackle the scenery. I’m working in Illustrator because I’m not sure how big she’s going to want me to print it. Vector graphics are infinitely scaleable, unlike raster art.

Look what was perched on my car this afternoon. Aw, the fluffy little thing…. 🙂

More sketching. I think this lady knows she’s all that. 🙂
