Illustration Friday: Silent – Image 1

I wasn’t sure if I’d get to it this week, but I did. Here’s an illustration drawn just for this week’s prompt. I hope you like it.

Here’s an old photograph of mine for stripes. This was taken just before they tore down the old barbershop in my hometown. I used real black and white film and printed it myself in a darkroom. It’s pretty old and has picked up some scratches and things. So, sorry about it’s condition.
I may put up an actual drawn-for-this-prompt illustration later this week. I just wanted to give you all something in case I didn’t get around to drawing something new for you. 🙂

So, to make up for no image for illustration Friday last week, I give you two this week. This one’s a little more happy. Well, unless you’re the worm. Then it’s scary. 🙂

This is the finished spread. More-or-less. I may fiddle with it a little still.

Here’s panel 1 and an updated panel 4 for this spread. This is going to be an illustration sample for October’s local SCBWI conference. Two more panels to go.
