I think I’ll post some sketches. Here’s one I drew today between turns in a game of Dungeons and Dragons with my husband and daughters.

Here’s some random tentacles I drew yesterday.
So, since this is posting on Halloween, I thought it should be a Halloween themed image. So, the two things that come to mind with crawl is creepy crawly bugs and crawling babies. Bugs only seem really Halloweeny if it’s a spider or if they’re crawling over a corpse. I already did a spider this month and corpses are gross. Trying to not go for too gross since my target audience are kids.
So, a Halloween-themed baby.
I doodled a baby pumpkin-head, a baby Dracula, a baby Frankenstein’s monster, and a baby zombie. By the way, baby zombie? NO. Not cute. Bad. Very bad.
And I also doodled this baby Death, which is the one I liked best. So, that’s the one I finished off for today.
Whew! This is the last one! I’m done. I hope you enjoyed the month of inktober as much as I did. Thanks for watching!
This is about the cutest concept I can think of today.
Well, I’ve drawn real rockets and sci-fi rockets. I considered drawing Rocket Raccoon. But I decided to draw a boy lighting a bottle rocket instead.
Lines only. Didn’t bother with shading today. Maybe I’ll come back to it.
Doesn’t he have an honest smile? What could possibly go wrong?
I’ve always thought jingle dresses looked fancy, so here’s a little Indigenous girl dancing in her jingle dress.
(I’m not Indigenous, so apologies if I got something wrong. If anything’s egregiously wrong, please let me know and I’ll fix it.)
Beavers are rodents, which is today’s prompt. This one plays hockey. I think he’s Canadian. Because it makes sense to me that a hockey playing beaver would be Canadian. He plays for team Rodent. My youngest says she thinks he plays defense. I asked her why and she said, “He just does.”
Today we have sabre drill. A girl practicing fencing with her coach. The prompt was blade. I took the time to do comic book style shading and highlights this time.
I did my best to get the lunge position and the clothing correct. My husband fences, so I got a bit of advice from him on that. The coach is based very roughly on his coach and this drill is very common for beginning sabre fencers.
Sabre is the hack and slash style of fencing. Foil and epee are the pokey styles. My daughter is deeply disappointed I drew sabre instead of epee. She thinks epee is the best. But sabre just doesn’t have as nice a sound effect. SMACK!
Today’s prompt was radio, so these two aliens are groov’in to earth music in their flying saucer.
