She sailed away
On a sunny summer day,
On the back of a crocodile.
“You see,” said she,
“He’s as tame as tame can be,
I’ll ride him down the Nile.”
The croc winked his eye
As she bade them all goodbye,
Wearing a happy smile.
At the end of the ride,
The lady was inside,
And the smile was on the crocodile!

I doodled some things yesterday that I liked. They’re just sketches, but I thought I’d share. The original idea was silly images to go with the phrases, “You need a T-shirt.” and “You need a mug.” I’m not sure that I quite hit the mark, but I still liked the results.
This is another sketch for my dummy book for Jack, Paul, and the Beanstalk. Yes, I know, it’s not a beanstalk. I do know the difference. But just because there’s a giant beanstalk in the story, how does it follow that there can’t be a giant cornstalk as well? How’s that work? Well, you’ll have to wait and read the book to find out!
Sometimes I have no control over what comes out of my pen. No control at what-so-ever.
