The client wanted a child doing yoga, but was concerned that the activity was a little old for the age 10-13 range. So, this child is meant to be just a bit older. Maybe 14 or 15 instead. This is also one of the few images drawn with the child’s eyes closed. This yoga pose is called the tree pose.

A Southeast Asian child aged 14 or 15 stands in the tree pose. They are wearing a t-shirt and leggings with bare feet. The character's gender is ambiguous. Their short hair is long enough to be a bit shaggy.

This kid is a budding baker who made some delicious and pretty cupcakes.

A Southeast Asian child, age 7-9, stands holding a tray of cupcakes. They are wearing pink and maroon striped leggings, maroon sneakers, a maroon t-shirt, and a white apron. Their black hair is shaggy and a bit long.

This is another where I used that flower stamp that I have to scatter flowers for the shirt pattern. I also really enjoyed making the balloons semi-transparent for this look.

A Southeast Asian child, age 7-9, stands holding a bunch of colorful helium balloons. They are wearing a long-sleeved, button-up shirt with a purple flower print pattern. They are wearing tight jeans and black high-top sneakers. Their black hair is shaggy.

I wonder what they’re playing? I feel like it’s something beachy. I took way too much time making sure those strings, frets, pegs, and all the rest of it was correct.

An East Asian person stands playing an acoustic guitar. Their black hair is in a pompadour style. They are wearing a cream sweater with a hood, jeans with wide cuffs rolled up to mid-calf, and slip-on sneakers. They have blue nail polish.

I don’t like drawing baseball caps. The bills give me trouble for some reason. They’re easy to draw backwards, though.

An East Asian child, aged 10-12, stands holding a galvanized bucket of fresh vegetables. Two carrots, a cucumber, and a red bell pepper are visible. They are wearing a red baseball cap backwards over chin-length black hair. They are wearing an oversized white t-shirt tucked into wide-legged jeans with wide cuffs rolled to mid-calf, and red hi-top sneakers.

I really enjoyed doing the stripes on this child’s tank top shirt and I think the color choice came out nice.

An East Asian child aged 7-9 stands wearing a backpack. Their medium-long hair is cut in an undercut and pulled back into a ponytail. They are wearing a light purple backpack. They are wearing a white t-shirt with a striped tank top with a scalloped edge over it. They're wearing scalloped-edged leggings and sneakers. The clothing colors are primarily teal and white, with darker blue and purple accents. Although the clothing style is traditionally feminine, the pose, haircut, and facial coloring deliberately read more masculine, creating an overall gender ambiguous look.
