Inktober #28 was Float. Here’s that one colored in.
Buddy always seemed like a dog’s name to me. So, here’s a boy playing with his Buddy.
Fast line drawing using fat lines this time.
Here’s a new one for that series I’m doing with this group of middle school kids. This one’s a sleepover and our main character (I should really give her a name) is having a sleepover with all her BFFs. She’s playing a video game (Mario Cart, perhaps?) against her very best bestie. Two more friends are painting nails on the floor and a fifth girl has already conked out and gone to sleep. (Hopefully they won’t put her bra in the freezer later!)
Edit: It was too green, so I made it bluer and updated the image. Better now, I think. 🙂
Here’s an image for page 12 of a safety-themed coloring book commissioned by Positive Promotions. This one uses the same scene as the one on the cover, only this time it’s too boys and they’re waiting at the curb, since the light still shows the, “Don’t Walk,” symbol.
Here’s an image for page 9 of a safety-themed coloring book commissioned by Positive Promotions. This one is my favorite. It’s a maze with various locations in the neighborhood. There’s the library, post office, a park, grocery store, and elementary school. There’s also a little line of traffic. You’re supposed to get the girls to school.
Here’s an image for page one of a safety-themed coloring book commissioned by Positive Promotions. A bunch of kids playing safely in their front yards. I tried to include a couple of kids playing street hockey because my youngest is a hockey girl, but they didn’t want to encourage kids playing in the street. 😦 Oh well. So long as the client’s happy. 🙂
Here’s a portfolio piece I’ve been working on. I am ridiculously proud of the hands, in particular.
Here’s the completed image. It was designed as a full spread. That means nothing important in the way of the center fold. Also, not much is happening on that right side because it would have a fade over most of that half with text overlaid.
Inktober #17
Here are my girls playing in the street.
