I was proud of several things on this one. The wheelchair, the leaves, her face at that upward angle. I think she’s enjoying herself.

This one was fun. He’s cute, throwing that snowball. And drawing winterwear feels so warm and cozy. I enjoyed drawing the little detail on the hat and gloves so much that I went on to decorate several more characters’ winter wear the same way later in the project.

Next comes three characters in the 10-12 age range. The colorful sweater and space buns were cute, I thought.

Here’s the first larger body size character for this batch. A boy aged 7-9.

Over the last couple years, I’ve read several human interest stories about dancers or yoga instructors or whatnot that you might not think could excel at those skills because of their weight, or in one case because she had downs syndrome. But they do it anyway, and they do it well. So, I wanted to draw this lovely dancer who is clearly doing what she loves despite the challenge of her body size.

I was doodling tonight. Thought I’d share.
