Number 132 of 150

She’s got an awfully big cup of coffee. I may have made it a bit too big, actually. Or maybe she REALLY needs her coffee this morning.

A woman stands talking on her smartphone while holding a large to-go cup of coffee. Her blonde hair is pulled up into a bun held with a purple hair clip. She's wearing leggings, a white t-shirt, purple cardigan, and brown English riding boots.

A Basketball Story – Interior 6, Left Side

The next interior has two images, one on either side. Here’s the first one. Someone taking the team picture. This same picture is also used on the cover.

An illustration of someone taking a team photo using a cell phone. Only the picture-taker's hands and phone are visible, with the team visible on the screen. The actual team is out of focus in the distance.

Zooming

Here’s what I think is going to be the last in the portfolio series I’ve been working on.  This is a very current scene.  Our girl is participating in a zoom conference with her peers.  Perhaps in an online class or study group?  I don’t think she’s sick, but she is isolated in her home, away from her friends.

In Trouble

Here’s a new one for that same series I’ve been working on.  Seems our girl has been texting in class.

Safety Book – Interior Image – Page 4, Image 2

Here’s the second image for page 4 of a safety-themed coloring book commissioned by Positive Promotions.  This shows a puzzle.  You’re supposed to find which two phones are identical.  Can you find them?

Safety Book – Interior Image – Page 4, Image 1

Here’s the first image for page 4 of a safety-themed coloring book commissioned by Positive Promotions.  This shows a girl who looks very worried calling 911 and an operator asking her, “What is your emergency?”

Safety Book – Cover Image 1

I recently completed another coloring book for Positive Promotions.  This one is about teaching safety to kids.  I think it’s supposed to be handed out by the police and firefighters and such.  It’s about when to call 911, anti-bullying, crossing the street safely, anti-drug… things like that.

The cover has three color images showing different safety situations.  This first one shows a boy calling 911 for a house fire.

Recycling Book – Random Objects

Here’s a collection of random objects and an owl that appear on various pages in a coloring book about recycling commissioned by Positive Promotions for Earth Day.  I’m particularly proud of that compact florescent light bulb in the corner there.  The twisty coil was tricky.

This is the last sample I have for this project.  Next up will be a coloring book on neighborhood safety, also for Positive Promotions.

Here’s a portfolio piece I’ve been working on.  I am ridiculously proud of the hands, in particular.

Medussa in Color

I reworked my Medusa image because the original black and white one was sort of visually confusing. This one’s better.  I haven’t decided what I’ll use it on yet.  Coffee mug, anyone?

Here’s a poster of it.
