Boot

I sketched this today because I broke my foot last week. This is the boot I’m now wearing. Apparently, they don’t put you in a cast for a broken foot anymore. Instead, you wear this thing.

(I’m fine. It only hurts if I bump it. I’ll probably be able to walk on it in a couple of days. I fell because my foot went sideways when stepping in a pothole in a patio at a local restaurant. Apparently even outdoor dining is dangerous.)

Safety Book – Interior Image – Page 5

Here’s an image for page 5 of a safety-themed coloring book commissioned by Positive Promotions.  This shows a scene where a police officer and an EMT have responded to the scene of an accident.  The EMT is checking on a boy who is lying on the ground next to a crashed bike and the officer is interviewing an elderly witness.  An ambulance and police car are parked in the street and there are two apartment towers in the distance.  I imagine the boy lives in one of those towers.

In hindsight, I think I may have made the ambulance too narrow.  Hopefully it’s not too apparent.

Distracted – Final

In honor of Distracted Driving Awareness Month.  Please promise not to use your cell phone while driving.  It’s very dangerous to yourself and to those who share the road with you (like me!).

HANG UP AND DRIVE!
